Choir Rehearsal at Hey Park School

Choir Rehearsal at Hey Park School!
Hey bloggers of the world!🌠🌏
Today Waikowhai Primary School Choir (including me) walked down to Hay Park School to practice all of the songs we have learnt so far. For choir we are singing, Rocking Robbin, Moon, In Winter, and many more. Our principal director is a very experienced director named Mr Lambert. He helps us understand and sing the right notes as well as signal us when its time to start and stop. In November this year, all the choirs of Auckland will perform in the Town Hall along with a whole load of other performance groups. I think all together there is 450 choir students. The schools we practised with were Waikowhai Primary School (our school), Mt Eden Primary School, Riverdale Primary School, Hillsborough Primary School, Hey Park Primary School, North Coat Primary School, and Arahoe Primary School. We have to learn 15 songs for choir and that is a lot of singing. Personally I think that being in the choir is an amazing experience.
See you latter bloggers!

Climate Change March

Climate Change March
Hey bloggers!

On the 24th of May 2019, Waikowhai Primary School went to the Climate Change March. We marched down Queen Street for over an hour to protest about climate change. We all made our own signs and wrote things like "One Earth One Chance!" We also sang chants like, "HEY HEY HO HO CLIMATE CHANGE HAS GOT TO GO!" Here is another one, "NO MORE COAL, NO MORE OIL, KEEP THAT CARBON IN THE SOIL!"

After the march we did a personal response as a follow up. A personal response is you have whole load of topics based on how you felt on the march. Some of the topics were, what I was surprised about, what I liked, what I disliked, what I would change, something that made me think about was, and what I didn't understand. We all had a great time at the march. Being at the march made us feel like we had a voice.

Blog you later!
Us at the march!!!
