Futsal ⚽

For the past two weeks, Waikowhai Primary School has been doing futsal classes. It's great fun! Our coach Kingsley has taught us some great skills and tricks. First of we started learnt to dribble, not from our mouths but with our feet. To achieve this, we have to kick the ball from one foot to another, whilst trying to dodge people. Kingsley threw in a twist...where if he said a body part or a number you had to other get into a group of that number or stop the ball with that part of your body. Secondly, we learnt to juggle, which is where you bounce the ball from one foot to another, while the ball is off the ground. Thirdly, we learnt to do knee ups where you bounce the ball from one knee to another. After we learnt to do those tricks, Kinsley said we should play a game. The game he chose was numbers. Numbers is a game where you get into two teams and you get numbered within your group. After both teams have been numbered the adult calls out some numbers and if you are one of the numbers he calls out you have to go onto the field and play.
