Last week we had a visitor come in and talk to us about the Summer Learning Journey. We complete 60 tasks and post them on our blog over the summer. The reason that we do this is to prevent the summer slide. The summer slide is where during our 6 week holiday we drop in our levels and the SLJ helps us keep our levels up. Sometimes you can lose up to a year worth of learning and teachers spend three or so months trying to recover our progress. If you blog about one of the activities that you have done the SLJ team will comment on your blog and give you points if you do well. You can get around 5 points for posting a good blog and 2 points if you comment on someone else's. You can also get half points if you don't complete the task to high standards.

We have already started some of the activities for the SLJ!!
